Eye Tracking Devices - news, articles, studies, research
Following in the footsteps of Tenori-on, Percussa's AudioCubes provide an innovative new means of controlling and producing audio tracks. These glowing boxes communicate with one another (via inbuilt infrared sensors) to determine their orientation, distance and position within the group and alter the sound they produce accordingly. They also respond to touch.
Peter Nyboer has written an extensive post about his experience with AudioCubes over at Create Digital Music, noting that while offering a wealth of opportunity "for performance and sonic mischief that will continually challenge and reward your creativity", they are quite tricky to get to grips with out-of-the-box. Even so, we'd love to experiment with them.
